The key characteristic of the burnout syndrom is emotional exhaustion. The teachers, being not anymore successful in devoting themselves to their professions as before, reflect their negative feelings and anxieties to their students. It is clear that this woukl endanger the effectiveness of education. In this study that has been sponsored by the Research Foundation of Marmara University, it is aimed at the determination of the demographical and tha personality differences and sinıilarities bettveen the teaclıing staff and the administrators that are revealing or not revealing burnout syndrom.
