Yumurtlama dönemindeki bıldırcınlarda (Coturnix coturnix japonica) kısa süreli dinlendirme periyodunun yumurta verimi ve kuluçka özelliklerine etkileri
Bu çalışma, bıldırcınlarda kısa süreli dinlendirme periyotlarının kuluçkalık yumurta verimine etkilerini ortaya koymak ve dinlendirmenin hangi yaşta uygulanması gerektiğini belirlemek amacıyla yürütülmüştür. Bu amaçla yumurtlama dönemindeki bıldırcınlar 5 gruba ayrılmış; birisi kontrol grubu olmak üzere 4 gruba farklı yaşlarda % l Zn içerikli yemin 5 gün verilmesi suretiyle kısa süreli yumurta verimi durdurularak dinlendirme uygulanmıştır. Uygulamalar aşağıdaki şekilde gerçekleşmiştir; 1. grup Kontrol; 2. grup 5. ay sonunda dinlendirme; 3. grup 6. ay sonunda dinlendirme; 4. grup 7. ay sonunda dinlendirme; 5. grup 8. ay sonunda dinlendirme. Tüm gruplarda toplam yumurtlama periyodu 10 ay olarak ele alınmıştır. 10 aylık dönemde yumurta verimleri (bıldırcın/kümes) gruplarda sırasıyla 134.8, 163. 8, 146.3, 154.2 ve 108.5 adet olarak belirlenmiştir (P0.05); yumurtlama'dönemi sonu canlı..a.ğjrlıklarlişiîerde 218.1 g, 212.2 g, 218.6 g, 210.7 g ve 221.4 g (P> 0.05), döllülük oranları ise % 80.4, %81.47%77.8, %79.2 ve %80.6 bulunmuştur. Kısa süreli dinlendirme uygulamaları yumurta verimini olumlu yönde etkilemiş; döllülük oranlarında önemli bir değişiklik olmamış; diğer özellikler açısından da kontrol grubu ile benzer sonuçlar sağlanmıştır. Bulgulara göre; bıldırcınlarda döllülük oranını olumsuz hale getirmeden, 5-7 aylık yaşlarda kısa süreli dinlendirme uygulaması ile kuluçkalık yumurta veriminin arttınlabileceği ortaya çıkmıştır.
Effects of resting period on egg yields and hatching traits at quails (Coturnix coturnix japonica) during laying period
The present study was carried out to investigate the effects of resting periods on egg yield and to determine the appropriate age for resting period. A resting period was applied to each treatment group, except the control group, using a ration supplemented with %1 Zn for 5 days to stop hens from laying. Groups were as follows: 1 st group control; 2 nd group resting at the end of the 5 th month; 3 rd group resting at the end of the 6 th month; 4 th group resting at the end of the 7 th month; 5 th group resting at the end of the 8 th month. Laying period was lasted 1 0 months in all of the groups. Egg yields (quail/hen) were 134.8, 163.8, 146.3, 154.2 and 108.5 for 1 st, 2 nd, 3 rd, 4 th and 5 th groups, respectively (PO.05). Laying period viabilities were 61.1%, 60.5%, 63.3%, 56.2%, 61.7%; egg weights were 12.05 g, 12.02 g, 12.07 g, 12.07 g, 12.07 g for the same groups, respectively (P>0.05). At the end of the laying period live weights of females were 218.1 g, 212.2 g, 218.6 g, 210.7 g, 221 A g and fertility ratios were 80.4%, 81.4%, 77.8%, 79.2%, 80.6%, respectively (P>0.05). Results indicated that while resting periods affected the egg yields positively, fertility ratio was not affected. There were no significant differences between control and other treatment groups in terms of other measured traits. It can be concluded that hatchable egg yield can be increased by means of resting period application at ages of 5-7 months without a negative effect on fertility ratio of quails.
