Bilindiği gibi son birkaç senedir, ülkemizde hem ilahiyat fakültelerinin sayısında hem de öğrenci sayısında ciddi artışlar yaşanmaktadır. Ancak bu artışla birlikte kalite ve nitelik konusunda önemli düşüşler yaşanmaktadır. İşte bu makale önce, öğrenci sayılarındaki artış, bölüm sorunu, devam sorunu, derslerin niteliği ve sayısı, değerlendirme şekli, ders işlenişlerinde izlenen metot ve yöntem konuları açısından ilahiyat fakültelerinin mevcut durumunu ele alarak, daha sonra çağdaş dünyadaki ilahiyat fakültelerinden örnekler vererek ideal bir ilahiyat fakültesinin nasıl olması gerektiği konusunda bazı ipuçları vermeyi amaçlamaktadır. Bu amaçla makalede, ABD, Kanada ve İngiltere’de bulunan ilahiyat fakültelerindeki lisans ve lisansüstü ders programları ele alınarak mevcut durumumuz incelenmeye çalışılacaktır. Makale bazı önerilerle sona ermektedir.

As it is known, there is a great increase in both in the number of faculty of theologies and students in our country in recent times. However, there is a serious decrease in the quality of these faculties with this increase. This article examines the current situation of the faculty of theologies in terms of the increase of the number of students, the question of department, the question of attending to the faculty and discipline, the content and the quality of the courses, the style of evaluation of the courses, and methods and techniques followed in the courses. Then, giving some examples from faculties of theology in the contemporary world, it compares Turkish religious education system with other world faculties of theology and it advocates ideal faculties of theology in Turkey. In order to understand our current situation, it analyses both undergraduate and graduate courses followed in the faculties of theology in the United States, Canada and England. The article concludes with some suggestions.
