Namık Kemal'in kelimi aldığı “Hürriyet Kasidesi”, üzerinde birbirinden değerli inceleme ve tahlil çalışmaları yapılmıştır. Bunların önemli bir kısmı, hemen hemen aynı sonuçlara varmış olmakla birlikte, şiirin metin ve bağlam ilişkisi açısından değerlendirilmesi yapılmamıştır. Özellikle, dilbilimsel yöntem açısından şiirin yeniden ele alınması ile birlikte, metni oluşturan temel kavramların birbirleriyle nasıl bir düzlem içinde ilişkilendirildiğini tespit etmek yararlı olacaktır. Türk edebiyatı tarihi içinde önemli bir yere sahip olan metinlerin başında gelir. Şairin bu şiirini kaleme almasında hürriyet arzusu yatmakla birlikte, hürriyete bağlı olarak, başta devlet yöneticileri olmak üzere, sorumluluk sahibi olan herkese atıfta bulunulmaktadır. Bu kimselerin hangi özelliklere sahip olması gerektiği, birbirlerine ve diğerlerine karşı takınacakları tavırlarda, esas alacakları temel özelliklerin neler olacağı üzerinde durulur. Amık Kemil'in devrin sosyal ve siyasi ortamından etkilenerek kaleme aldığı bu şiirde, bağdaşıklığı oluşturan kelimelerin, parça bütün ilişkisi gözetilerek eserde yer aldığı, kimi zaman da eksiltili bağdaşıklık unsurlarının kullanıldığı görülmektedir. Şiirde ritmi sağlayan unsurların başında yer alan “-ten” eki, aynı zamanda “bu yüzden” ifadesini çağrıştırarak söylenen hükümlerin nedenlerini ortaya koymaktadır.
