AN ANALYSIS OF LEADER-MEMBER INTERACTION AND SATISFACTION WITH ADMINISTRATOR

In this study, it has been aimed to probe the relationship between leader-member (school administrator-teacher) interaction and satisfaction with administrator. The correlation model, which is a quantitative research method, has been used in this research. The schools in Hatay province have formed the research universe of this study. The sample of this research consists of 241 teachers. Data; “Personal Information Form”, “Leader-Member Interaction Scale” to measure the level of interaction between school administrator-teachers, “Satisfaction with School Admininstrator Scale” to measure the level of satisfaction with school administrator have been utilized for. Research data have been construed by using descriptive analyzes, correlation, simple regression and multiple regression analyzes. When looking at the relationships in the correlation matrix, it has been seen that leader-member interaction and its sub-dimensions (effect, loyalty, contribution, professional respect) are interrelated to satisfaction with principal. According to regression analysis outcomes, leader-member interaction and its contribution and respect sub-dimensions can statically significantly predict the satisfaction with school administrator. It has been determined that effect and loyalty sub-dimensions of leader-member interaction cannot statically significantly predict satisfaction with administrator.  In order to make teachers feel satisfied with their administrators, it has been considered necessary that the bidirectional relationship with school administrators be high quality.
