Muhasebe sisteminin güvenilir ve doğru bilgiler üretmesi, muhasebe eğitiminin etkisindedir. Muhasebe eğitimi, muhasebe meslek mensuplarının mesleki bilgilerini güncel tutma ve bu bilgileri kullanmayı sağlamalıdır. “Sürekli eğitim” anlayışının bir sonucu olarak bütün dünyada olduğu gibi ülkemizde de gittikçe yaygınlaşmakta olan uzaktan ve elektronik eğitim yöntemlerinin muhasebe bilimine uygulanması ve bu uygulamanın sonuçları üzerine muhasebe öğretim üyelerinin tutumlarını ölçmek bu çalışmanın amacını oluşturmaktadır.
