Bilgiyi edinme ve kullanabilme merkezi olan üniversiteler için bireyleri yetiştirmek oldukça ciddi bir konudur. Bu ciddiyetle yola çıkan üniversitelerin öğrencilerini tanıması ve beklentilerini anlayabilmesi gerekmektedir. Öğrencilerini tanıyan üniversitelerin başarılı olacağı gerçeğinden hareketle öğrencilerin yükseköğretimden beklenti ve motivasyonlarının belirlenmesine yönelik çalışmaların yapılması büyük önem taşımaktadır. Bu konuları dikkate alarak yaptığımız çalışmanın amacı muhasebe bölümü öğrencilerinin yükseköğretimden beklentilerinin, üniversite eğitimi için ne kadar motive olduklarının, yükseköğretime ne kadar hazır olduklarının ve kendine ne kadar güvendiklerinin tespit edilmesidir. Yapılan anket çalışması sonucu öğrencilerin motivasyonlarının üst düzeyde olduğu ve başarılı olacaklarına inandıkları belirlenmiştir.

To educate individuals to study in universities which are the centre of getting and using information is an extremly important matter. The universities that have set out with this seriousness are supposed to recognize their students and understand their expectations. It is of vital importance to make studies related to identifying their motivations and expectations about higher education considering the fact that the universities that know their students better will be more succesfull. The aim of this study in which we take into account these issues is to determine, expectations of the students of accounting department about higher education how they are motivated for university, how they are ready for higher education and how they are self-confident. As a result of the survey study, it is determined that the students are in a high level of motivation and they believe that they are going to be succesful.
