“Köroğlu”nun Tiflis varyantının tarihi olaylarla ilgisi onaylanmıştır. “Köroğlu”nun Gürcüstan`da geniş yayılması çoktan bellidir ve Tiflis varyantının Azerbaycan`a getirilmesi yeni araştırmaların yapılmasına neden olmuştur. Yeni tetkikler destanın açılmamış sayfalarını araştırmaya zemin hazırlar. Özellikle XVI – XVII yüzyılın tarihi olaylarının Tiflis varyantında yansıtılması “Köroğlu” destanının tarihle ilgisini öğrenmeyi amaçlar. Bu varyantın dil özellikleri de o dönemin lingivistikasının tarihle ilgisini araştırması açısından önemlidir. Uzun yıllar köroğluşünaslıktan uzak kalmış bu nüsha hakkında düşünceler sadece bir kaynağa dayandığı için tartışmalara neden olmuştur. Gürcüstan Cumhuriyeti İlimler Akademisi K. Kekelidze adına Elyazmalar Enstitüsünün “Müslüman fondu”nda korunan “Köroğlu” destanı 28 meclisten oluşur. Destan dil, yazı üslubu ve süjenin kapsamasına göre Azerbaycan destanının en güzel varyantlarından biri gibi dikkati çeker.

Tiflis variant of “Koroghlu” epos is the ancient copy. From the historical and language point of view this variant has the same tone with the historical events of XVI – XVII centuries.
