To know the sociological dimensions of the opposition against the Tanzimat Movement is as important as Tanzimat and crucial in order to understand Turkey's yesterday and today. This study aims to investigate the opposition efforts attempted on The Tanzimat Movement in period of 1839-1856 in the sociological perspective and to make contribution in understanding of the Movement of Tanzimat.
