Genç Cinsel Suçluların Kişilik Özellikleri Üzerine Bir Gözden Geçirme

Birçok çalışmada, genç cinsel suçlulara yönelik yapılan araştırmaların,yetişkin cinsel suçlulara yönelik yapılan araştırmalara göre daha az sayıda olduğu vegenç cinsel suçlulara ilişkin pek çok bilginin yetişkinlere yönelik yapılmışçalışmalardan sağlandığı belirtilmiştir. Bununla birlikte, yetişkin cinsel suçlularınneredeyse yarısının ilk suçlarını gençlik yıllarında işledikleri bilgisi, genç cinsel suçlupopülasyonunun ayrı olarak incelenmesi gerektiğini düşündürmektedir. Doğrudan gençcinsel suçlulara yönelik yapılmış çalışmaların 1970’lerde başladığı ve çok az sayıdaolduğu; 1980’lerde ve 1990’larda ise artış gösterdiği görülmüştür. Bu çalışmalarınbirçoğunun genç cinsel suçlularla ilgili çeşitli değişkenleri incelediği, ancak çok azınınözel olarak genç cinsel suçluların kişilik özelliklerine odaklandığı bulunmuştur. Farklıve daha etkili tedavi yöntemleri geliştirebilmek adına bu popülasyonun kişiliközelliklerinin daha iyi anlaşılması gerekmektedir. Bu çalışmanın amacı, genç cinselsuçluların kişilik özelliklerini inceleyen araştırmaları ele almak, bulgular çerçevesindebir değerlendirme sunmak ve konuya dikkat çekmektir. İncelemeler sonucunda, gençcinsel suçluların heterojen bir grup olduğu ve yapılan araştırmaların çoğunun gençcinsel suçluları kişilik özelliklerine göre alt gruplara ayırdığı görülmüştür. Bununlabirlikte, genç cinsel suçluları diğer genç suçlularla ve suç işlememiş gençlerlekarşılaştıran araştırmaların bir kısmında, kişilik değişkenleri bakımından gruplararasında anlamlı düzeyde bir fark bulunmadığı, bir kısmında ise gruplar arasındafarklılıklar bulunduğu ve bu farklılıkların tedavi planlamasına etki edebileceğisonucuna ulaşılmıştır
