Travmatik kateter çekimi sonrası kopmuş ve mesanede kalmış Foley sonda

Hastaneye yatan kişilerde Foley sonda takılması sıklıkla uygulanan bir işlemdir. Sonda takılmasının enfeksiyöz olan ve olmayan birçok komplikasyonu vardır. Travmatik bir şekilde balonu şişirilmiş halde iken sondanın çekilmesi bunlardan birisidir ve çeşitli üretral komplikasyonlara neden olabilir. Nadiren de olsa sonda kopabilir. Biz yazıda mental durumu bozuk olan bir 79 yaşındaki erkek olgunun sondasını travmatik bir şekilde çekmesi sonucunda sondanın kopması ve mesanede kalan sonda parçasının tedavisi irdelenmiştir.

Foley sound broken and retained in bladder after traumatic catheter removal

Urethral Foley catheterisation is a common procedure that performed on hospitalized patients. It results a in number of infectious and noninfectious complications. We present a case of a 79-year old man with known mental illness who extracted his urethral catheter traumaticly, due to baloon inflated. Foley catheter had broken and its distal part left in the bladder. We argued this condition and it’s treatment in the current article.
