Peryodik Ateş, Aftöz Stomatit, Farenjit ve Servikal Adenit (Pfapa) Sendromlu Bir Olgu: Tonsillektominin Tedavideki Etkinliği

Amaç: Periyodik ateş, aftöz stomatit, farenjit ve servikal adenit PFAPA sendromu etyolojisi bilinmeyen tekrarlayan yüksek ateş, aftöz stomatit, farenjit ve servikal lenfadenit ile karekterize kronik bir hastalıktır. Tekrarlayan yüksek ateş, boyunda şişlik, boğaz aşrısı ve ağız içinde yaralar çıkması şikâyetiyle başvuran 3,5 yaşında erkek hastaya PFAPA sendromu tanısı konuldu. Steroid tedavisi ardından şikâyetleri nüks eden hastaya tonsillektomi uygulandı. PFAPA semptomları tam olarak kayboldu.

A Patient With Periodic Fever, Aphthous Stomatitis, Pharyngitis And Cervical Adenitis Pfapa Syndrome: Efficiency of Tonsillectomy In the Treatment

Objective: The periodic fever, aphthous stomatitis, pharyngitis and servical adenitis PFAPA syndrome is a chronic disease of unknown etiology characterized by periodic episodes of high fever, aphthous stomatitis, pharyngitis and cervical adenitis. 3,5 years old boy with complaints of recurrence of high fever, pharyngitis, oral ulcer, swelling of the neck was diagnosed as PFAPA syndrome. The symptoms were recurred after the steroid therapy so he underwent tonsillectomy. PFAPA symptoms completely disappeared.
