Periyodik ateş, aftöz stomatit, farenjit ve servikal adenit (PFAPA) sendromlu bir olgu: Tonsillektominin tedavideki etkinliği
Periyodik ateş, aftöz stomatit, farenjit ve servikal adenit PFAPA sendromu etyolojisi bilinmeyen tekrarlayan yüksek ateş, aftöz stomatit, farenjit ve servikallenfadenit ilekarekterizekronikbirhastalıktır. Tekrarlayanyüksek ateş, boyundaşişlik, boğazağrısıveağız içinde yaralarçıkmasışikâyetiylebaşvuran 3,5 yaşında erkek hastaya PFAPA sendromu tanısı konuldu. Steroid tedavisi ardından şikâyetlerinüks eden hastayatonsillektomiuygulandı. PFAPAsemptomları tam olarak kayboldu.

The periodic fever, aphthous stomatitis, pharyngitis and servical adenitis PFAPA syndrome isachronicdiseaseof unknownetiology characterizedby periodic episodes of high fever, aphthous stomatitis, pharyngitis and cervical adenitis. 3,5yearsoldboywithcomplaints of recurrenceof high fever, pharyngitis, oral ulcer, swelling of theneckwasdiagnosedasPFAPAsyndrome. The symptomswere recurred afterthesteroidtherapyso he underwenttonsillectomy. PFAPA symptoms completely disappeared.
