AISI 4140 Çeliğin Tornalanmasında Kesme Parametrelerinin Kesici Uç Aşınmasına Etkisi

Yüksek mukavemetli düşük alaşımlı AISI 4140 (52 ± 1 HRC) çeliğin, kuru ortamda, PVD-TiN kaplı seramik kesici takımlar kullanılarak tornalanmasında, kesici takımda aşınmalar, bazı talaşlı imalat koşulları ile ilgili sorunlardır. Bu çalışmada, işlenen yüzeyin izlenmesi ve kesici takım aşınma mekanizması araştırılmıştır. Deneyler sabit kesme derinliği (0,2 mm), üç farklı ilerleme hızı (0,04, 0,08, 0,12 mm/dev) ile iki farklı kesme hızında (150 ve 180 m/dak) gerçekleştirilmiş ve Varyans Analiz yöntemi (ANOVA) kullanılarak, kesme ve ilerleme hızının takım aşınması üzerine etkileri incelenmiştir.En iyi aşınma performansı, en düşük aşınma miktarı 0.07178 mm ile 150 m/dak. kesme hızı, 0.04 mm/dev. ilerleme hızından oluşan kesme parametrelerinde elde edilmiştir. Elde edilen sonuçlar, ilerleme hız parametresinin kesici takım aşınmasında en etkili parametre olduğunu göstermiştir.

The Effect of Cutting Parameters on the Tool Wear During Turning of AISI 4140 Steel

The concerns with some machinability aspects on tool wear in hard turning of AISI 4140 (52 ± 1 HRC) high strength low-alloy steel using PVD-TiN coated ceramic inserts under dry environment. The machined surface monitoring and cutting tool wear mechanism are investigated in this work. The experiments were conducted at two different cutting speeds (150, 180 m/min) with three different feed rates (0.04, 0.08 and 0.12 mm/rev) and a constant depth of cut (0.2 mm). The effects of cutting speed and feed rate on tool wear were investigated using an Analysis of Variance (ANOVA). The best tool wear resistance performance was achieved at cutting speeds (150 m/min) and feed rate (0.04 mm/rev) with lowest wear (0.07178 mm) Our results revealed that the feed rate is the most significant parameter influencing the tool wear.
