Bu araştırma, Holştayn x Yerli Kara F1 melezi erkek danaların yarı açık ahır koşullarında besi performansı ve karkas özelliklerini belirlemek amacıyla düzenlenmiştir. Danalar 7 ve 8 başlık iki gruba ayrılmışlardır. I. grup 500 kg ve II. grup 550 kg canlı ağırlıkta kesilmişlerdir. Yapılan besi sırasında grupların günlük ortalama canlı ağırlık artışları sırasıyla 865.8 ve 873.1 g. tespit edilmiştir. Gruplarda 1 kg canlı ağırlık artışı için tüketilen yem (kesim + kaba yem) sırası ile 8.57 ve 8.80 kg, soğuk karkas randımanı ise yine sırası ile % 54.8 ve % 55.8’ dir. Kesim ağırlığı arttıkça değerli etlerin miktarı artmıştır. Elde edilen bulgulardan hareketle, Holştayn x Yerli Kara F1 melezi erkek danaların optimum kesim ağırlıklarının 550 kg’a kadar sürebileceği ve yarı açık ahır koşullarında incelenen özellikler yönünden performanslarının iyi olduğu tespit edilmiştir.

The purpose of this research was to determine of feed-lot pertormance and carcass characteristics of Holstein x Native Black crossbred young bulls. All animals were kept in a semi-confinement type of barn and managed under loose housing conditon. Young bulls were allocated into two groups and each group consisted of 7 and 8 animals. Ech group of animals were slaughtered at 500 and 550 kg. liveweight. During the fattening period the average daily liveweights gains in the groups were determined as 865.8 and 873.1 g .respectively. Feed intakes (Concentrate + hay) were 8.57 and 8.80 kg/kg gain respectively. Dressing percentages in the groups were 54.8 % and 55.8% respectively. Animals slaughtered at 550 kg. had more first quality cuts. It was concludet that the salaughtering weight of Holstein x Native Black young bulls might be increaood to 550 kg. and they were shown a high performance in semi-confinement type of barn and loose housing condition.
