Bu çalışmada Denizli ırkı 10 horoz kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın başlangıcında horozlar tartılarak vücut ağırlıkları saptanmıştır. Araştırma süresince haftada 3 kez masaj yöntemiyle alınan spermalarda saptanan spermatolojik özelliklerin genel ortalamaları ejakülat miktarında 0.6 ± 0.1 ml., spermatozoa motilitesinde % 65.0 ± 2.9, spermatozoa yoğunluğunda 2.0 ± 0.2 x 109/ml., anormal spermatozoa oranında % 11.3 ± 1.6 ve spermanın pH değerinde 7.5 ± 0.1 olmuştur. Çalışmada elde edilen toplam 78 ejakülatın anormal spermatozoa tiplerinden akrozom, baş, orta kısım ve kuyruğa ait bozuklukların genel ortalama değerleri sırasıyla % 0.9 ± 0.1, % 1.0 ± 0.1, % 6.9 ± 0.9 ve % 2.1 ± 0.8 belirlenmiştir. Bu araştırma ile Türkiye’ye ait bir ırk olan Denizli horozlarında başlıca spermatolojik özellikler invitro bulgularla ortaya konmuştur.

The aim of this research was to prove the principal spermatological characteristics by invitro datas in Denizli cocks. İn this expertment, 10 Denizli cocks were treated. Body-weight of the cocks were measured at the beginning of research. During the research, semen was collected from cocks by massage method three times in a week. The spermatological charactertstics of samples which were collected from cocks are as follows: (1) Ejaculate volume averaged 0.6 ± 0.1 ml., (2) sperm motility 65.0 ± 2.9 %, (3) sperm concentration 2.0 ± 0.2 x 10/ml., percantage of abnormal sperm 11.3 ± 1.6 % and (5) pH 7.5 ± 0.1. Acrosome, head, middle piece and tail deformations were recorded as averaged 0.9 ± 0.1 %, 1.0 ± 0.1 %, 6.9 ± 0.9 % and 2.1 ± 0.8 % respectively
