Tirotoksikoza bağlı psikoz: olgu sunumu

hiperaktivite, emosyonel labilite, engellenme eşiğinde düşme, uyku bozukluğu, özellikle distraktibilite şeklinde olan dikkat ve konsantrasyonda bozulma, bellekte dikkat bozukluğuna ikincil bozulmalar, hostil davranışlar, anksiyete, fobi, disfori, paranoid ve referans fikirlerin baskın olduğu psikotik belirtiler ile gidebilen klinik bir tablodur. Bu yazımızda 61 yaşında enkoherans, belirgin dezorganizasyon, gerçeği değerlendirmede bozulma tablosuyla kliniğimize başvuran hastanın hipertiroidi tanısı almasının ardından hipertiroidinin tedavisiyle birlikte psikiyatrik durumunda belirgin düzelme olması üzerinden, hipertiroidiye bağlı psikoz ve seyri literatür bilgileri eşliğinde ele alınmıştır

THYROTOXİCOSİS RELATED PSYCHOSİS: A CASE REPORT

Hyperthyroidism is a clinical syndrome which may cause psychiatric symptoms like discomfort, motor or perceptive hyperactivity, emotional lability, sleep disorders, attention-concentration-memory problems, especially distractibility, hostile behaviours, anxiety, phobias, disphoria, paranoid and referansial thinking. In this report we present a 61-year-old male patient with encoherans, desorganisation, distorted reality testing who is diagnosed with hyperthyroidism. After receiving medication for hyperthyroidism, decrement in psychological findings were noted. Psychosis due to hyperthyroidism and its course were discussed in the light of previous reports in the literature.
