Investigation of the Relation between the Level of School Readiness and Self-Regulation Skills of 60-72 Month Old Pre-schoolers

The aim of this research is to examine the relationship between the self-regulation skill levels of 60-72 month old pre-school children and their school readiness level on a sample group from Turkey. The sample of the study consisted of 127 girls and 129 boys, totally 256 children who were attending to pre-school education institutions in Balıkesir Province. The Demographic Information Form, Self-Regulation Skills Scale and the short form of the School Readiness Scale were used as data collection tools. Positive significant relation was found between the school readiness level and self-regulation skills of the participant children.
