The Kalam Cosmological Argument and the Impossibility of an Actual Infinity According to Al-Kindî and Al-Ghazâlî

The Kalam Cosmological Argument, introduced by Muslim thinkers, has been one of the most important forms of cosmological arguments throughout the history of philosophy. It was first used by Muslim theologians (mutekellimun) and, therefore, named after them. Al-Kindî and Al-Ghazâlî are undoubtly among those whose contribution to this argument is of great importance. One matter in the form of this argument is the rejection of the possibility of an actual infinity, and this study aims to analyse how Al-Kindî and Al-Ghazâlî handles this matter
