Okul Müdürü Öz Yeterlik Algısı Ölçeğinin Türkçeye Uyarlanması

Bu araştırma okul müdürlerinin öz-yeterlik algılarını belirlemek için Tschannen-Moran ve Gareis tarafından (2004) geliştirilen ölçeğin Türkçeye uyarlanması amacıyla yapılmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu, Ankara, Kayseri, Adana, Mersin, Konya, Aksaray, Niğde, Nevşehir, Kahramanmaraş ve Gaziantep İllerinde çalışmakta olan 1227 okul müdürü oluşturmaktadır. Özgün formu üç boyut ve on sekiz maddeden oluşan ve dili İngilizce olan okul müdürlerinin öz yeterlik algıları ölçeği kısa formu, Türkçeye çevrilmiş ve örneklem verileri üzerinde faktör analizleri ve geçerlik ile güvenirlik çalışması uygulanmıştır. Çalışma sonucunda Türkçeye uyarlanan ölçek, özgün formu ile benzerlik gösteren üç boyuttan (yönetimsel, öğretimsel ve etik/ahlaki öz yeterlik) oluşmaktadır. Türkçe literatürde bu çalışma kapsamında uyarlanan ölçeğe benzer bir çalışmanın henüz yapılmamış olması bu çalışmanın literatürdeki önemli bir boşluğu kapatmasını sağlayacaktır. Ayrıca geliştirilen ölçek ile okul müdürlerinin öz yeterliklerini belirlemeye yönelik çalışmaların artması hedeflenmektedir. Bunun yanında uyarlanan bu ölçeğin kullanılması ile okullarda sürdürülen yönetim çalışmalarına ilişkin önemli veri elde edilebilecektir.

The Adaptation of School Principal’s Sense of Efficacy Scale into Turkish

The aim of this study was to adapt the scale developed by Tschannen-Moran and Gareis (2004) to determine the self-efficacy perceptions of school principals. The study group consisted of 1227 principals working in Ankara, Kayseri, Adana, Mersin, Konya, Aksaray, Niğde, Nevşehir, Kahramanmaraş and Gaziantep. The short form of the self-efficacy perceptions scale for school principals, which was originally composed of three dimensions and eighteen items, was translated into Turkish and factor analyses and validity and reliability were applied on sample data. As a result of the study, the scale adapted to Turkish consists of three dimensions (administrative, instructional and ethical / moral self-efficacy) which are similar to the original concepts. The fact that a study similar to the scale adapted in the scope of this study in the Turkish literature has not yet been done will allow this study to close an important gap in the literature. In addition, the scale aims to increase the self-efficacy of school principals. Furthermore, the use of this adapted scale will provide important data on the management work carried out in schools.
