Köpeklerde Wobbler sendromu
Wobbler Sendromu, özellikle Doberman Pinscher ve Great Dane'lerde küçümsenmeyecek kadar yüksek oranlarda gözlenen ve servikal bölgede medulla spinalis'in kompresyonu ile şekillenen nörolojik bir lezyondur. Bu lezyon, genellikle $C_2-C_7$ intervertebral aralıklarda, vertebral kanal çapının ufak olması, intcrvertebral disk prolrilzyonu gibi çeşitli faktörlere bağlı olarak ortaya çıkmaktadır. Öncelikle arka ekstremitelerd'e ataksi ile başlayıp, progresif olarak kuadriparezi ve sonuçta kuadriplejiye kadar ilerleme gösteren önemli bir hastalıktır. Ülkemizde, veteriner pratikte bu sendromun yeterince bilinmemesi ve buna bağlı olarak tanıya tam gidilememesi, hastalığın klinik bulguları ile tanı ve sağaltım yöntemlerini tekrar ele almamızı gerekli kılmıştır.
Wobbler syndrome in dogs
Wobbler Syndrome is a neurological lesion which affected particularly Doberman Pinscher and Great Danes. This syndrome is caused by compression of spinal cord in cervical region. In this review, clinical signs, diagnosis and treatment methods of Wobbler Syndrome have been presented.
