Iraklı müellif Ekrem Ziya Umeri tarafından telif edilen "Sahih Rivayetlere Göre Hz. Peygamber'in (SAV) Hayatı" adlı eser, adından da anlaşıldığı gibi Hz. Peygamber’in hayatını konu edinmektedir. Siyer sahasında kaleme alınan bu eserin tarafımızdan kritik edilmeğe değer olarak görülmesi, siyer yazıcılığı alanında müellifin üzerinde çalıştığı bir yöntemin bu eserde uygulamaya konulmuş olmasından dolayıdır. Müellif bu eserde Peygamberimizin hayatıyla ilgili öteden beri yer verilen konuların rivayetlerini değerlendirirken, metin ve rivayet tenkidi yöntemlerini birlikte uygulamaya koymaya çalışmıştır.
