Endemik Haplophyllum A. Juss. Türlerinin Antioksidan Aktivitesi Üzerine Lokasyon ve Tür Farkının Etkisi

Bu çalışmanın amacı Tükiye’nin farklı lokasyonlarından toplanmış bazı endemik Haplophyllum A. Juss.

The Effect of Location And Species Differences on Antioxidant Activities of Endemic Haplophyllum A. Juss.

The aim of current study was to determinate antioxidant activities, the total flavonoid and phenolic contents of aerial parts of some endemic Haplophyllum A. Juss. (H. myrtifolium, H. vulcanicum, H. pumiliforme and H. sahinii) collected from different locations of Turkey. The total phenolic content of the samples ranged from 31.8 to 49.8 mg GAEg-1 extract. H. vulcanicum and H. sahinii had higher total phenolic content than other species. The highest total flavonoid amount was detected in the samples of both locations of H. myrtifolium (62.0 and 63.0 mg KE g-1 extract) whereas the lowest was reported in the samples of both locations of H. pumiliforme (36.2 and 31.7 mg KE g-1 extract). Antioxidant activities were measured by radical scavenging activities such as the 2, 2′-azino-bis-3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulfonic acid (ABTS) and 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH). Location1 samples of H. myrtifolium and location2 samples of H. pumiliforme showed the strongest ABTS radical scavening activity (78.6% and 79.0%, respectively). The samples in two locations of H. vulcanicum had the lowest value for two activities. As a result, H. pumiliforme was found to have low phytochemical content but exhibited high antioxidant activity. The results of antioxidant activities and total bioactive contents about H. vulcanicum, H. sahini and H. pumiliforme is reported by us for the first time.
