Clinical importance of the plasma fibronectin level in preeclamptic patients

Clinical importance of the fibronectin level of plasma in preeclampsia is investigated. As a endotelial damage marker serum fibronectin levels were determined. Forty women with pregnancy who applied to Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of KTU Medical Faculty were included in the study. The study groups were divided normotensive (n=20) and preeclamptic (n=20) groups. For measurement of serum fibronectine levels antigen-antibody complex was determined by nephelometric method. Plasma fibronectin levels were found to be highly important in the preeclamptic patients to the control group. We conclude that plasma fibronectin levels may be an important factor for the early determination of preeclamptic patients.
