THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN ASEMPTOMATIC MICROSCOPIC HEMATURIA AND THE DIAGNOSIS OF THE BLADDER TUMOR

Introduction:There is no common opinion that patients presenting with recurrent asymptomatic microscopic hematuria were evaluated especially for for the purpose of predicting bladder tumor. In this study, it was aimed to prospectively assess the potential risk factors that might be effective in predicting bladder cancer in adult patients with asymptomatic microscopic hematuria. Material and Method:We determined the risk factors for recurrent asymptomatic microscopic hematuria in terms of bladder cancer; age, sex, history of urinary tract tumor, history of smoking, risky occupation group were recorded. Urinary cytology, urinary ultrasonography and cystoscopy examinations were performed in all cases. The data were analyzed by single logistic regression analysis test. All hypothesis controls were administered at a significance level of 0.05 (p
