DAVID RICARDO İLE JOSEPH ALOIS SCHUMPETER’İN TEKNOLOJİK GELİŞME KURAMLARININ KARŞILAŞTIRILMASI

Bu çalışmada teknolojik gelişmeyi, makine kullanımı biçiminde ele alan David Ricardo ile icat, yenilik, yenilik kümelenmesi ve yaratıcı yıkım süreci içerisinde değerlendiren Joseph Alois Schumpeter’in teknolojik gelişme kuramları, karşılaştırmalı bir biçimde incelenmiştir. Çalışma kapsamında Ricardo ve Schumpeter’in teknolojik gelişme kuramları arasında teknolojik gelişme algıları ve kuramsal amaçları bakımından bir takım farklılıklar olduğu belirlenmiştir. Buna karşın, bu iki yazarın teknolojik gelişme kuramları arasında kavramsal düzeyde bir takım benzerlikler olduğu da saptanmıştır. İcat ve yenilik kavramları Schumpeter tarafından kullanılmasına karşın, kavramın izleri Schumpeter’den önce Ricardo’da görülmektedir. Ricardo, Schumpeter’den daha önce icat ile yeniliğin birbirinden farklı kavramlar olduğunun farkına varmıştır.
