Endometrial Polip Tanısı Konulan Olgularda Ghrelin'in Serum ve Doku Düzeyi Seviyelerinin Araştırılması
Investigation of Plasma and Tissue Ghrelin Levels in Diagnosed Endometrial Polyps
Background: Endometrial polyps, which are benign growths of the endometrium, may be a factor in female
subfertility. We aimed to evaluate the ghrelin expressions for the development of endometrial polyps.
Methods: Tissue ghrelin expressions of a total of 15 cases endometrial polyps, whom 9 had in the
proliferation phase, 6 had in the sekretuar phase were examined using immunohistochemical method, Enzim
İmmunoassay (EIA) and ELİSA.
Results: Ghrelin concentrations in the secretuar phase group were higher compared to the proliferative
phase. Ghrelin concentrations were lower in the endometrial polyps group as compared to the endometrium
group in the secretuar phase.
Conclusions: We think that ghrelin expression can be important in endometrial polyps formation.
