Genç erişkin erkeklerde alkolsüz içecek tüketim alışkanlıklarının ve etki eden faktörlerin araştırılması
Amaç: Bu çalışmada genç erişkin erkeklerin günlük yaşamlarındaki içecek tüketim alışkanlıkları ve bunları etkileyen faktörler tanımlanmaya çalışılmıştır. Yöntem: İçecek tüketim alışkanlıklarını belirlemek üzere hazırlanan bir soru formu, 5–11 Mart 2005 tarihleri arasında bir askeri birlikte göreve yeni başlayan 1019 erbaş/er’e uygulanmıştır. Bulgular: Çalışmaya katılanların yaş ortalaması 21.1±1.8 yıl’dır. En çok tüketilen içeceğin “Kolalı içecekler” (1.4±2.1 L/hafta/kişi), en az tüketilen içeceğin “Enerji içeceği” (90±440 ml/hafta/kişi) olduğu bulunmuştur. Evlerinde buzdolabında en fazla bulundurulan içeceklerin süt (% 68.9) ve ayran (% 55.8) olduğu görülmüştür. İçecek tüketimlerini etkileyen faktörler arasında; aile gelir durumu, ailenin yaşadığı yerleşim birimi, öğrenim durumu, televizyon izleme durumu, arkadaşlarının içecek tüketim alışkanlıkları, içecek tad tercihleri ve yemek alışkanlıklarının etkili faktörler olduğu; buna karşın sigara alışkanlığının etkili bir faktör olmadığı görülmüştür. Observing non-alcoholic beverage consumption habits and factors effecting these in young male adults
Objective: In this study, it is aimed to define non-alcoholic beverage consumption habits and factors effecting these in young male adults in their daily life. Methods: A questionnaire which has been prepared to predict the non-alcoholic beverage consumption was applied to 1019 recruits who has just recruited the Turkish Army Forces in a Troop during the March 5 to 11 in 2005. Results: The mean age of participants is 21.1±1.8 years. It has been found that the most choiced beverage is “cola drinks” (1.4±2.1 L/week/person), and the less one was “energy drinks” (90±440 ml/week/person). It has been specified that the most kept beverage in families’ fridges were milk (68.9%) and “ayran” (55.8%). The factors positively effecting non-alcoholic beverage were total family income, living local area, educational levels, television watching, friends’ non-alcoholic beverage consumption, beverage taste preferences and eating habits. Smoking habits were not related with beverage consumption statistically (P>0.05). In this study, 63.9% of the participants have reported that they smoke. It has been found that the amount of cigarette consumption was not related with weekly consumpted cola drinks (r=0.112, P<0.05). Conclusion: The most consumpted non-alcoholic beverages were cola drinks. The healthy and safe water and milk products should be used and preferred to cola drinks.
