Akımsız Ni-B kaplama ile demir esaslı toz metal kompaktların yüzey özelliklerinin geliştirilmesi

Demir esaslı toz metal (TM) kompaktların sertlik, sürtünme, aşınma ve korozyon dayanımına akımsız Ni-B kaplamanın etkisi incelendi. Bu amaçla, toz metalürjisi yöntemiyle üretilen demir esaslı TM kompaktlar çok ince akımsız Ni-P kaplandıktan sonra akımsız Ni-B kaplama işlemi uygulandı. Akımsız Ni-B kaplanmış ve kaplanmamış TM kompaktlar taramalı elektron mikroskobu (SEM), X-ışını kırınım analizi (XRD), enerji dağılımlı X-ışını spektroskopisi (EDX) ve mikrosertlik ölçümleri ile karaktereze edildi. Tribolojik özellikler pin-on-disk tipi aşınma cihazı kullanılarak 10, 20 ve 30 N’luk yükler altında, 1 ms-1 sürtünme hızında ve 1000 m sürtünme mesafesinde belirlendi. Korozyon dayanımları potansiyodinamik polarizasyon ölçümleri ile tespit edildi. Sonuçlar, akımsız Ni-B kaplamanın amorfsu yapıda ve sütunsu bir büyüme morfolojisine sahip olduğunu göstermiştir.  Mikrosertlik ve tribolojik testler Ni-B kaplamanın sahip olduğu yüksek sertlik ve morfolojik özellikleri ile TM kompaktların aşınma ve sürtünme özelliklerini iyileştirdiğini göstermiştir. Akımsız Ni-B kaplama TM kompaktların korozyon direncinde kayda değer bir artış meydana getirmiştir.
