Tailgut kisti veya retrorektal kistik hamartoma, retrorektal-presakral boşlukta bulunan ve embriyonik hindgutun kalıntısı olan nadir görülen konjenital bir lezyondur. Orta yaş kadınlarda daha sık görülür. Genellikle asemptomatik olmasına rağmen abdominal ağrı veya konstipasyona neden olabilir. En önemli komplikasyonları, perianal veya anorektal fistül ile malign dejenerasyondur. Bu çalışmada nadir görülen tailgut kisti olan kadın olgunun MRG bulguları literatür gözden geçirmesi ile birlikte sunulmaktadır.

Tailgut cyst or retrorectal cystic hamartoma is a rare congenital lesion thought to arise from vestiges of an embryonic hindg ut and is found in the retrorectal or presacral space. Tailgut cyst is more common in women and usually presents in middle age. It is usually detected as an asymptomatic mass but may be found in patients with abdominal pain or constipation. The most important complications of these cysts are pe rianal or anorectal fistulas and malignant degeneration. We aim to report magnetic resonance imaging findings of a case of tailgut cyst and review of literature.
