Otizm Spektrum Bozukluğu Tanılı Olguların Tipik Gelişim Gösteren Kardeşlerinde Depresif Özellikler ve Yaşam Kalitesinin Değerlendirilmesi: Tedavinin Kardeşlerdeki Bulgular Üzerine Etkisi

Amaç: Bu çalışmada otizm spektrum bozukluğu (OSB) tanılı olguların tipik gelişim gösteren kardeşlerinde depresif özelliklerin ve yaşam kalitesinin değerlendirilmesi amaçlandı. Ek olarak, OSB tanılı olgulara uygulanan özel eğitim/psikofarmakolojik tedavilerin, kardeşlerdeki depresif özellikler ve yaşam kalitesi üzerine olan etkisi değerlendirildi. Gereç ve Yöntem: Çalışmaya OSB’li 150 olgunun tipik gelişim gösteren kardeşi (vaka grubu) ile OSB’li kardeşi olmayan tipik gelişim gösteren 50 olgu (kontrol grubu) alındı. OSB tanılı çocuklar için Çocukluk Otizmini Değerlendirme Ölçeği uygulandı. Yaşam kalitesini değerlendirmek için Çocuklar İçin Yaşam Kalitesi Ölçeği kullanıldı. The Evaluation of Depressive Features and Quality of Life by Typically Developing Sibling of Children Diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder: The Effect of Treatment on the Findings of Siblings

Objective: In this study, we aimed to evaluate typically developing siblings of children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in terms of depressive features and quality of life. In addition, the effect of special education interventions/psychopharmacological treatments of children diagnosed with ASD on the findings of siblings was evaluated. Material and Method: One hundred fifty typically developing siblings of 150 cases who diagnosed with ASD (case group) and 50 control cases typically developing (control group) were included. Childhood Autism Rating Scale for children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder was performed. The Pediatric Quality of Life Questionnaire was used to evaluate quality of life. Depressive features were evaluated with Children's Depression Inventory (CDI).
