Kolorektal kanserin karaciğer metastazlarında cerrahi tedavi

Kolorektal kanserli hastaların yarısından fazlasında karaciğer metastazı gelişir. Kolorektal kanserlerin karaciğer metastazla rı, kolorektal kanserli hastalarda en sık ölüm nedenidir. Kolorektal karaciğer met astazlarının tedavisinde belirgin gelişmeler kaydedilse de tedavinin köşe taşı henüz cerrahidir. Teknik ilerlemeler ve sistemik tedavi seçeneklerindeki gelişmeler nedeni ile cerrahi tedavinin endikasyonları genişlemiş tir. Cerrah, onkolog ve radyologların birlikte çalıştığı multidisipliner ekipler sayesinde anrezektabl hastalar rezeksiyona uygun hale getirilebilir.

The surgical treatment of Colorectal liver metastases

Liver metastasis appears in up to one - half of patients with colorectal cancer. Colorectal liver metastases are the most common cause of death in pati ents with colorectal cancers. Even if there are significant advancements in therapies for colorectal liver metastases, surger y remains the cornerstone of treatment. The indications for surgical treatment have been widened by the technical advances and developments in the systemic treatment options. Unresectable patients can be tailored to resection by multidisciplinary teams that are comp osed of surgeons, oncologists, and radiologists.
