Bir Pulmoner Arteriovenöz Malformasyon Olgusu

Pulmoner arteriovenöz malformasyonlar anormal kapiller gelişimden kaynaklanan pulmoner arter ile pulmoner venler arasındaki anormal direkt bağlantılardır. Genellikle konjenitaldir. Lezyonlar izole tek bir anomali şeklinde görülebilir fakat çoğu herediter hemorajik telenjiektazi hastalığı ile birliktelik göstermektedir. Olgular asemptomatik olabilir. PA akciğer grafisinde klasik radyolojik görüntü yuvarlak, düzgün ve sınırlı lezyonlardır. Tanıda altın standart pulmoner anjiyografi olmakla beraber, akciğer grafisi, kontraslı bilgisayarlı tomografi ve kontrastlı ekokardiyografi de kullanılan diğer tanısal araçlardır. Elli bir yaşında üst solunum yolu enfeksiyonu yakınmalarıyla polikliniğimize başvuran, fizik muayene bulguları normal olan ve izole tek lezyonu olan pulmoner arteriyovenöz malformasyon olgusu literatür bilgileri eşliğinde nadir görülmesi nedeniyle sunulmuştur.

A Case of Pulmonary Arteriovenous Malformation

Pulmonary Arteriovenous Malformations (AVMs) are rarely seen direct abnormal communications between pulmonary arteries and pulmonary veins. It is usually congenital. Lesions may appear as a single isolated anomaly but most AVMs occur in individuals with hereditary haemorrhagic telangiec-tasia. The cases may be asymptomatic. The classic radiological images on PA chest X-ray reveal round, smooth, and limited lesions. Together with the gold standard pulmonary angiography, chest X-ray, computed tomography with contrast and contrast echocardiography are another diagnostic tools used in diagnosis. We present a case of pulmonary AVM together with the literature knowledge due to its rare occurrence, which is a single isolated lesion with normal physical examination findings, admitted to our outpatient department with a complaint of upper respiratory tract infection, in a 51-year-old man.
