Financial Literacy: An Emprical Study on the Connection between Knowledge, Attitudes and Behavior of the University Students

The research examines the relationship between personal financial knowledge and selected socio-demographic variables of university students in terms of best practice financial behavior and attitude. For this purpose, a survey was imple- mented to the students of three universities in Konya. One Way ANOVA and t test techniques were used to test the hypothesis. In order to determine which groups in the sample have significant differences, Tukey’s HSD test was performed as a post-hoc test. Findings suggest that there are statistically significant differences among financial knowledge, sociodemographics and financial behavior and atti- tudes of the students
