INVESTIGATION OF THE FIRST 10 YEARS THAT “MİLLİYET NEWSPAPER” BETWEEN HIGH SCHOOLS COMPETITION MUSIC ANORGANIZATION THAT DRIVE (GIVE WAY) TURKISH FOLK DANCESD FOLK DANCES AS AN

It is possible to say that Turkey, for the first time, acquainted with folklore showspresented on stage in the Folklore Festivals organized by Association for theprotection and survival of Turkish folklore which was founded in 1955 by Yapı KrediBank. Following this, Milliyet Daily News included Turkish folk dancing to its contestcategories addition to its music contest among high schools. Thus, Turkish folkdances which had been staged by school teachers before got an opportunity to meet larger masses for many years.
