Kanatlılarda Reovirus İnfeksiyonları

Reovirusler, kanatlılarda özellikle broilerlerde ve hindi palazlarında büyümenin durması, canlı ağırlık kayıpları, tüylenmenin gecikmesi, ters ve kaba tüylenme, ayak ve gagada renk açılması, kemikleşmeme ve enteritis ile karekterize malabsorption syndrome (5), broiler ve broiler damızlıklar ve genç hindilerde arthritis, synovial membranlar, tendonlar, tendo kınlar ve miyokardiumda yangı, bir ya da her iki bacağın diz eklemi yukarısında büyük şişkinlik, değişik derecelerde topallık ile karakterize viral arthritis/tenosynovitis (9,13,24) infeksiyonlarına neden olurlar. Kanatlı reovirusları, doğada oldukça yaygın olarak bulunurlar (13,18). Özellikle ticari amaçla yetiştirilen kanatlı populasyonlarında ve muhtemelen diğer birçok kanatlı türlerinde de bulunmaktadırlar.
