OKUL ÖNCESİ ÖĞRETMENLERİNİN SINIF YÖNETİMİ BECERİLERİ İLE ÇOCUKLARIN KATILIM DÜZEYLERİ ARASINDAKİ İLİŞKİNİN İNCELENMESİ

Öğrenme süreçlerinin niteliğinin geliştirilmesi ve etkili öğrenme ortamlarının oluşturulması için okul öncesi dönemdeki çocukların katılım düzeylerini etkileyen faktörlerin değerlendirilmesi gereklidir. Bu araştırmada, okul öncesi öğretmenlerinin sınıf yönetimi becerileri ile çocukların katılım düzeyleri arasındaki ilişkinin incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bu araştırmanın çalışma evrenini, 2018-2019 eğitim öğretim yılında Afyonkarahisar il merkezindeki Milli Eğitim Bakanlığı’na bağlı resmi anaokullarına devam etmekte olan beş yaşındaki çocuklar ve okul öncesi öğretmenleri oluşturmuştur. Tesadüfi örnekleme yöntemi ile belirlenen bu araştırmanın örneklemini 108’i kız, 124’ü erkek olmak üzere toplam 232 çocuk ve 22’si kadın, 2’si erkek toplam 24 okul öncesi öğretmeni oluşturmuştur. Araştırmanın verileri “Genel Bilgi Formu”, “Leuven Küçük Çocuklar İçin Katılım Ölçeği” ve “Okul Öncesi Öğretmenleri için Sınıf Yönetimi Becerileri Ölçeği” kullanılarak toplanmıştır. Bu araştırmada ilişkisel tarama modeli kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada kullanılan Spearman Korelasyon analizi sonuçlarına göre, okul öncesi öğretmenlerinin sınıf yönetimi becerileri ile çocukların katılım düzeyleri arasında pozitif yönde ve anlamlı bir ilişki olduğu ve araştırmada yer alan çocukların katılım düzeylerinin orta olduğu belirlenmiştir. Öğretmenlerin sınıf yönetimi becerilerine ilişkin mesleki beceriler alt boyutu ile çocukların katılım düzeyleri arasında pozitif ve anlamlı bir ilişki bulunurken, öğretmen-çocuk etkileşimi alt boyutu arasında anlamlı bir ilişki bulunamamıştır. Öğretmenlerin sınıf yönetimi becerileri ile çocukların katılım düzeyleri arasındaki ilişkinin belirlenmesinin, sınıftaki etkileşimlerin ve öğrenme süreçlerinin niteliğinin geliştirebilmesi ve etkili öğrenme ortamlarının oluşturulması açısından alanyazına katkı sağlayacağı düşünülmektedir.
