Stres ülseri ve proflaksisi

Strese bağlı olarak midede ortaya çıkan mukozal lezyonların patogenezi yeterince açık olmamakla birlikte bu lezyonların önlenmesi konusunda önemli gelişmeler sağlanmıştır. Bu çalışmada, strese bağlı ortaya çıkan mide lezyonlarmın önlenmesinde şu an elimizde mevcut olan ilaçlardan simetidin, ranitidin, famotidin, diazepam ve omeprazol'un etkinliği kontrollü olarak, deneysel bir sıçan modelinde karşılaştırılmıştır. Tüm ilaçlar mide lezyonlarnın önlenmesinde kontrol grubuna kıyasla anlamlı olarak etkin bulunmuştur. Ancak, strese bağlı gastrik mukozal lezyonların önlenmesinde, omeprol'ün etkinliğinin diğer ilaçlara oranla belirgin şekilde fazla olduğu tespit edilmiştir.

Stress ulcer and its prophylaxis

Pathogenesis of stress ulcers is not clear. However, many pharmaceutical agents had become available for prophylxis of stress ulcers, recently. We compared the efficacy of cimetidine, ranitidine, famotidine, diazepam, and omeprazole in stress ulcer prophylaxis, in an experimental model, in rats. In comparison to control group, all drugs found to be effective in stress ulcer prophylaxis. However, the efficacy of Omeprazole was significantly greater than all the other drugs.
