Morgagni hernisi: Nadir bir akut batın nedeni

Morgagni hernisi konjenital olup erişkinlerde travma-öyküsü olmadan görülür. Bu yazıda karın ağrısı, barsak tıkanıklığı ve solunum güçlüğü ile acil servise başvuran 26 yaşında erkek olgu bildirilmektedir. BT tetkikinde sol plevral boşlukta mide, omentum, kolonun splenik fleksurası ve dalak bulunmuştur. Acil laparotomi yapılan olguda fıtık redükte edilerek, diyafragma defekti onarılmıştır.

Morgagni hernia: An unusual cause of acute abdomen abstract

Morgagni hernia is a rare congenital diaphragmatic disease that is usually asymptomatic and discovered by chance during routine diagnostic tests performed for other pathologies. Here we present a case of strangulated Morgagni hernia in a 27 year-old man admitted with sign and symptoms of an acute abdomen. A CT scan confirmed the presence of the stomach, omentum, splenic flexura of colon and spleen in the left pleural cavity. An emergency laparotomy permitted reduction of the herniation and repair of the diaphragmatic defect.
