Investigation of MRI findings of meningiomas with respect to histological subtypes
Meningiomas are the most frequently encountered nonglial intracranial tumors. There are many histology sub-types of the meningiomas. Preoperative determination of a sub-type of a meningioma yields a better medical and surgical therapy planning of the tumor. MRI can supply important clues in detection of the histology sub-type and therapy planning of meningiomas preoperatively. 21 patients with meningiomas were included in the study. The MRI findings were evaluated and classified according to the postoperative histopathologic examination.
