Matür kistik teratom zemininde gelişmiş sigmoid kolona fistülize olan skuam öz hücreli karsinom

Matür kistik teratom overin en sık germ hücreli tümörü olup genellikle reprod ü ktif çağda görülmektedir. Matür kistik teratom benign bir tümör olmasına rağmen nadiren (%1 -2 oranında) malign transformasyon gösterebilmekte ve genellikle ileri yaşlarda ortaya çıkmaktadır. Matür kistik teratomda görülen en sık malign transformasyon skuam öz hücreli karsinomdur (%70-80). Malign transformasyon gösteren matür kistik teratom lokal invazyon ve peritoneal ekim yolu ile komşu organlara yayılım gösterebilmekte ve etkilenen organlara ait klini k semptom verebilmektedir. Biz burada 82 yaşında hastaya ait kolona fistülizasyon gösteren matür kistik teratom zemininde gelişmiş bir skuam öz hücreli karsinom olgusunu sunuyoruz .

Squamous cell carcinoma arising from mature cystic teratoma fistulised to sigmoid colon

Mature cystic teratoma is the most common germ cell tumor of the ovary that generally occurs during reproductive period. Although mature cystic teratoma is a benign tumor, rarely (1 -2%) it may show malignant transformation and it is usually observed in older ages. Squamous cell carcinoma is the most common malignant transformation (70-80%). Mature cystic teratoma with malignant transformation may show dissemination by peritoneal seeding or local invasion to the adjacent organs and presents with clinical symptoms of the affected organs. Herein, we report a case of a squamous cell carcinoma arising from mature cystic teratoma fistulised to sigmoid colon in a 82-year-old patient.
