A case of asemptomatic neonatal cholelithiasis: Case report and review of the literature
Neonatal cholelithiasis is rare and its natural course is unknown. Treatment is controversial. Although the traditional therapeutic approach is surgery, asymptomatic cases of cholelithiasis were suggested to undergo spontaneous resolution highly. There are limited information about medical treatment with ursedeoxycholic acid: In this paper, we report a case of idiopathic asymptomatic cholelithiasis with congenital cyanotic heart disease who was diagnosed incidentally during neonatal period, and the results of ursedeoxycholic acid treatment and 2 years follow-up.
