Kalkınmayı Yeniden Düşünmek: Güncel Tartışmalar ve Sorular

ÇalışmaDoğu’nun yükselişi, küresel kriz ve ticaret savaşları gibi bugünkü tarihsel gelişmelerin kalkınma çalışmalarını nasıl etkilediğini ve ne gibi soruları gündeme getirdiğini incelemeyi amaçlar. İkinci Dünya Savaşı sonrası gelişen kalkınma çalışmalarının ne gibi tarihsel süreçlerden geçtiğini araştırır. Kalkınma sonrası dönem olarak adlandırılan bugünkü kalkınma gündeminde özellikle iki eğilimin olduğunu tartışır. Birincisi, küresel kalkınma çalışmalarının ve sürdürülebilir kalkınma hedeflerinin kalkınma yazınında ön plana çıkmasıdır. İkincisi ise Doğu’nun yükselişi tartışmaları içinde Batı merkezli sisteme alternatif geliştirme tartışmalarıdır. Özellikle 1990’larda kalkınma paradigmasının sonlanmasından sonra Türkçe kalkınma literatürde kalkınma tartışmalarının nasıl ilerlediğine dair çok çalışma bulunmamaktadır. Bu çalışma bu Türkçe yazına katkı sağlamayı amaçlar.
