Laboratuvarda problem çözme uygulaması, öğrencilerin kavramsal problemlere çözüm bulmada, onlara deneysel tasarım pratiği vermek için geliştirilmiştir. Bu çerçevede Hacettepe Üniversitesi, Eğitim Fakültesi, Kimya Eğitimi Anabilim Dalı'nda öğrenim gören 42 öğrencinin gruplar halinde kendilerine verilen problem durumuna, laboratuvarda problem çözme uygulaması ile çözüm aramaları ve bu uygulamanın onların bilimsel süreç becerilerine ve mantıksal düşünme yeteneklerine etkisini belirleme amaçlanmıştır. Öğrencilere bilimsel süreç beceri ve mantıksal düşünme yeteneği testi uygulamadan önce ön test uygulamadan sonra ise son test olarak uygulanmıştır. Uygulamaların öğrencilerin bilimsel süreç becerilerini ve mantıksal düşünme yeteneklerini anlamlı bir şekilde artırdığı ortaya çıkmıştır. Ayrıca yapılan regresyon analizi ile de testlerden elde edilen sonuçların, öğrenci performpsını yordayıp yordamadığı incelenmiştir.

Problem solving application in laboratory has been developed to provide students experimental design practice in solving conceptual problems. In this extent, it has been aimed that 42 students' who were attending Hacettepe University, Faculty of Education, Department of Chemistry Education finding solutions to themselves giyen problem situation with problem solving application in laboratory as a group and to determine the effect of this application on their scientific process skills and logical thinking abilities. Scientific process skill and logical thinking ability test have been administered to students as pre test before the application and as port test after the application. It. has been determined that the application increased students' scientific process skills and logical thinking abilities statically. Whether the obtained results from the tests were a predictor of student performance has been examined with the conducted regression analyze.
