Religious individualism is seen as a yield of modernity in the sociology of religion. This phenomenon which must be seen apart from radical individualism places both individual preferences and religion in the center of actions of an indi- vidual. “Religious individuals” refer not to institutional religion, but to their own states of consciousness about how they should act in their socio-religious lives. So this situation means a danger for the plausibility structure of the communal (ge- meinschaftliche) institutions in modern era.
