Children's Accusative Case and Indefinite Objects

Bu çalışmanın amacı dört ve beş yaşlarındaki çocukların konuşmasında -(y)I durum ekinin işlevlerinden birini incelemektir. Enç (1991) durum eki almış belirtisiz nesnelerin, durum eki almamış olanlardan anlamsal olarak faklı olduğunu, durum eki alanların belirgenlik belirttiğini ileri sürmüştür. Bu çalışmada çocukların ve yetişkinlerin durum eki almış ve almamış nesneleri nasıl algıladıkları resim seçme yöntemi ile test edilmiş, dört yaşındaki çocukların iki farklı nesne türünü anlamsal olarak ayırmadıkları belirlenmiştir. Bu bulgular, çocukların durum biçimbirimini erken yaşlardan itibaren kullanmalarına rağmen, bu biçimbiriminin farklı işlevlerini edinmelerinin beş yaş ve sonrasına kadar devam ettiğini göstermektedir.
