BİR NEHİR ROMAN İNCELEMESİ: GECELER VE GÜNLER

Bu çalışmada İki Savaş Arası Dönem Polonya Edebiyatında (Literatura Dwudziestolecia Miedzywojennego) düz yazısıyla adından sıklıkla söz ettiren Maria Dabrowska'nın Noce i Dnie (Geceler ve Günler) başlıklı romanı, nehir roman türüne göre incelenecektir. Roman, Niechcic ailesinin dört kuşağı üzerinden bir ailenin gelişimi ve değişimini ele alırken, diğer taraftan bu uzun yıllar içerisinde Polonya'daki tarihi, toplumsal, ekonomik, politik ve kültürel değişimleri yansıtmaktadır. Nehir roman türüne uygun olarak içinde tarihi roman, aile romanı, çağ romanı ve otobiyogra?k roman özellikleri taşımaktadır. Oldukça detaylı bir üslupla anlatılan olaylar geri dönüşlerle Kongre Krallığı'na kadar uzanır ve I. Dünya Savaşı'na kadar devam eder. Bu bağlamda yapıtta birçok karakter ve kent yer alır. Dört cilt halinde yayımlanan Geceler ve Günler, Polonya edebiyatında nehir roman türünün en önemli örneklerinden biridir.

A REVIEW OF A ROMAN-FLEUVE GENRE: NIGHTS AND DAYS

In this study, the novel named Noce i Dnie (Nights and Days) which was written by Maria Dabrowska, who have made a distinguished name for herself with her prose during the interwar period of Polish Literature, will be reviewed in the contex of roman-?euve genre. The novel introduces the change and development of a family through the four generations of Niechcic family while re?ecting historical, social, economic, politic and culturel changes occured during these years in Poland. In accordance with the river novel genre, it has the characteristics of historical novel, family novel, period novel and autobiographical novel. Events that are told with a quite detailed style, go back to Congress Poland with ?ashbacks and continue to the World War I. In this regard, many characters and cities are included in this work. Nights and Days, which was published in four volumes, is one of the most important examples of roman-?euve genre in Polish literature.
