İNŞAAT SEKTÖRÜNÜN EKONOMİK BÜYÜMEDEKİ ROLÜ: TÜRKİYE ÖRNEĞİ

Öz İnşaat sektörü bina ve bina dışı inşaat ayrımı başta olmak üzere karayolu, demiryolu, havayolu, liman, baraj, köprüler vb. altyapı yatırımlarını da içine alan oldukça geniş kapsamlı bir iktisadi faaliyet koludur. Kullandığı girdiler ve bu girdilerin çeşitliliği açısından geri besleme etkilerinin çok güçlü olduğu ve istihdama katkısı açısından da ekonomik büyümenin yakalanması ve sürdürülmesinde oldukça önemli bir rol üstlenmektedir. Ayrıca kamu ve özel sektör eliyle yürütülen inşaat sektörü bir bütün olarak diğer mal ve hizmetlerin üretilebilmesi için gerekli olan altyapıyı ve üstyapıyı sağlamaktadır. Bu nedenle, bu çalışmanın amacı kamu ve özel sektör tarafından inşaat sektörüne yapılan harcamaların ekonomik büyüme üzerindeki etkilerini Türkiye ekonomisi açısından incelemek ve değerlendirmektir. Çalışmada eş bütünleşme testlerinin gücünü arttırmak amacıyla Bayer ve Hanck tarafından geliştirilen eş bütünleşme testi kullanılmıştır. Serilerin birinci dereceden bütünleşik olduğu tespit edildikten sonra uygulanan Bayer-Hanck eş bütünleşme test sonuçları GSYH, KKİH ve ÖKİH değişkenleri arasında uzun dönemli bir ilişkinin varlığını tespit etmiştir. Serilerin uzun dönemli ilişkili olduğu tespit edildikten sonra, uzun dönem katsayıların tahmini için DOLS ve FMOLS tahmin yöntemleri uygulanmıştır. Elde edilen katsayılar KKİH ve ÖKİH’deki 1%’lik artışa karşılık GSYH’de sırasıyla 0.35% ve 0.73%’lük bir artış olacağını göstermektedir.
