ABDULLA QODIRIY’NİN TARİHSEL ROMANLARI

Şiirle başladığı ve hikaye ile sürdürdüğü edebî yaşamında Özbek yazarı Abdulla Qodiriy 1920’li yıllarda iki de tarihsel roman yazmıştır. Kendisine ün getiren Ŭtkan kunlar (Geçmiş Günler) ve Mehrobdan çayon (Mihraptaki Akrep) başlıklı bu romanlar Batılı anlamda roman türünün Özbek edebiyatındaki ilk örnekleri olmakla birlikte Doğu edebiyatındaki destanlar ve halk hikâyelerini andırmaktadır. Her iki romanda meddah veya destancı anlatım tarzı kullanılarak 19. yüzyılın ortasında Çarlık Rusyasının Orta Asya’yı işgali öncesinde Hokand hanlığındaki olaylar ele alınarak Özbeklerin yakın geçmiş tarihine ayna tutulmaktadır. Hanlıktaki siyasal ve toplumsal çöküntü anadilini mükemmel kullanan genç bir yazarın bakış açısıyla sunulmaktadır.
