Presyometre deneyi, üzerine temel inşa edilecek olan zemin özelliklerini belirlemek için kullanılan en gelişmiş ve güvenilir arazi deneylerindendir: Burada deneyin tanıtılması ile birlikte sonuçlarının yorumlanması ve temel tasarımında uygulanması öz olarak açıklanmaktadır. Menard yöntemi kullanılarak deney sonuçlarının yorumlandığı bir bilgisayar programı yazılmıştır. Programdan elde edilen sonuçlar ilgili yayınlardaki elle yapılan hesaplamalardan elde edilen sonuçlar ile karşılaştırılmaktadır.

The pressuremeter test is one of the most advanced and reliable in-situ tests to determine the characteristics of a soil on which the foundation rests. The test is described here briefly together with the interpretation of the test results and the application of these on foundation design. A computer program was written in Fortran to interprete the test results using the Menard method. The results from the program are compared with the results of hand calculations of related references.
